This family therapeutic services center is an adaptive reuse of a light-industrial building east of downtown Los Angeles, and presents a beacon of safety and security to a chronically underserved local population.
In this project, building complete renovation and alteration designed considering the school to be open and fully operational during the construction with safety and accessibility concerns dictate a multi-step identification that employs this scheme of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
The full block of warehouses now houses programs of this important non-profit organization; in our design, new mechanical system that fits in the budget of a non-profit school also brings in more comfortability designed based on noise criteria and children maximum safety.
